i realized today that i think i have a little bit of an obsession with hoodies. i have counted. and i have five of them that i wear on a rotating daily basis. just plain, solid colored hoodies. four of them from american apparel. one in mustard. one in navy. one in lapis. one in mauve sounding a bit repetitive? why does one need that many of the SAME THING in different colors?? i think it is a compulsion...
oh then there's the one non american apparel outcast of the bunch. it is purple. in addition to those, i have a good dozen in various patterns. for some reason, i have decided they are not worthy of regular use, and generally only wear them when all else fails (i.e. my other ones reek of stale espresso and booze) and then, i only wear them out of necessity/for warmth. WHEN AND WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?? when did i decide that i was going to have an everyday "uniform" consisting of a tshirt, jeans, and a plain sweatshirt?? i have a closet full of clothes. two additional dressers full. and more stored in various other areas. like the basement. and my trunk. i used to have quite a wide variety of outfits i would wear. i would have considered myself trendy, fashionable. but no longer... now i have foresaken appearance for androgynous comfort. i guess this is not necessarily all that bad... but for the love of god someone stop me from buying more hoodies. i think i need an intervention.
HAHAH, and you bought another one today.
ReplyDeletedon't knock androgynous comfort. as i was walking home from work the other day, i realized that my shoes, socks, t-shirt, coat, hat and bag were allll unisex. not to mention my "gender neutral" handwriting, which as nick put it, "goes perfectly with [my] new gender neutral haircut." just great.
